Five Star Breaktime Solutions is looking for an Accounting Clerk at our Corporate Office in Chattanooga, TN.

At Five Star, the accounting clerk position will assist and support the corporate management and corporate administrative team in a variety of tasks in order to maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities focus on timely, accurate reporting as your number one goal. You will interface with the corporate office and customer locations to provide accurate details to them as needed. Job functions will include the following:

Top Tier functions:

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple system
• Must be able to complete the paperwork by hand or via accounting, word processing or spreadsheet software
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, work papers, and accruals
• Assist with month, quarter, and year end close
• Reconcile statements and payment records
• Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
• Correspond with external vendors and internal departments regarding billing and payments as needed
• Maintain financial records, running reports for management and recording a wide range of financial transactions

Additional functions:

• Ensures compliance with Five Star accounting procedures
• Manage workload and prioritize job tasks in order to meet deadlines
• Comply with corporate policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited College or University preferred
• Experience in Accounts Payable and/or accounting related field preferred
• Thorough knowledge and skills in general accounting
• Ability to work independently
• Well organized and able to accomplish a variety of tasks in an efficient and timely manner
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with the MS Office Professional suite, particularly Excel, including complex formulas and calculations

Position Information:

• Status: Full-Time, In-Office: Non-Exempt
• Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
